Fin
A recent commission Fin is a Ridgeback/Boxer cross, I was able to take the photos myself which is my preference. He wasn't full grown so was playful but on the alert.
This is on Art Spectrum Colourfix 297mm x 420mm Using pastel pencils Carbothello and Derwent

The Hunter
I took this reference photo at Wingspan which is now recognised as New Zealand's leading conservation, education and research organisation for birds of prey. This is the New Zealand Falcon kārearea Using mostly pastel pencils Carbothello and Derwent on the body the feathers needing more delicate work. The background I usually use soft pastel, for out of focus muted colour and its easer and quicker to cover for that soft look. The fence post was a combination of soft and pastel pencil. The surface is MiTeintes Tex and the size 480mm x 370mm
